Joel Sinkin is Senior Partner of Accounting Transition Advisors, LLC, a firm which exclusively consults on mergers and acquisitions in public accounting. Mr. Sinkin is an expert in practice evaluation and transaction structure and has been coined the “deal maker” by many sellers, buyers and transaction attorneys. Mr. Sinkin has personally overseen over 650 closings of accounting firms. He teaches CPE courses and lectures for the AICPA and numerous state societies of CPAs, as well as the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), the National Association of Tax Professionals, and many other professional organizations.

Mr. Sinkin has had articles authored by him or about him published in The Journal of Accountancy, The CPA Journal, Insight, The Practicing CPA, The Practical Accountant, Mergers And Acquisitions Best Practices in People Management (a Watson Wyatt publishing product) and has co-authored a book entitled Buying and Merging CPA Firms, published by PPC.
