When you click the graphical button representing the product that you purchased (for example, the Surgent McCoy Comprehensive CPE Library) on the main menu, a screen listing the course groups by topic category appears:

Select the topic category for the course that you purchased (for example, Estate and Trust Courses). A list of courses in that category appears:

Select the course that you purchased (for example, 1041). A description of the course appears:

You can select any course on the CD to view a description of the course. The course descriptions help you to determine other courses that are available through Surgent McCoy. When you click the Return button on this screen, you can view a different course description or select the course you have purchased.

When you click Proceed on the course decsription screen, the Serial Number Verification screen appears:

You must enter the serial number issued by Surgent McCoy. This serial number may be found on the back of your CD-ROM jewel case.

When you click the Submit button, a menu listing the course chapters appears:

You may read the chapters in any order. When you select a chapter by clicking on the chapter title, the course material is presented in Acrobat Reader and appears in a separate window:

You can click the bookmark tab to list bookmarks that indicate subjects found in the chapter. Clicking on any of the topics takes you to that part of the chapter. You can use the Acrobat Reader navigation buttons to move to the first page, last page, previous page, or next page. You can remove the bookmarks from view, resize the text display, or print or copy selected portions of the chapter.

Printing a reference copy of the Final Exam

You can print a copy of the on-line final exam for reference as you are reading the material. To print a copy of the final, your computer must be connected to the Internet. You are prompted to enter your Access Code and Course Code.

The following screen is displayed:

When you click the Print Reference Exam button, the exam questions are displayed in the web browser.

To print the exam, click the Click to Print Exam button

Taking the Final Exam On-line

After you have finished studying the course material, you can take the final exam on-line. You can print your CPE certificate as soon as you pass the exam with a score of 70% or higher. An additional copy of the CPE certificate is sent to you via email.

To take the exam on-line, your computer must be connected to the Internet. You are prompted to enter your Access Code and Course Code.

The following screen is displayed:

When you click the Take Final Exam button, all of the questions for the exam are presented on a single screen.

When you're finished, the exam is graded immediately. If you earn 70% or higher, you can print your CPE certificate and a copy is emailed to you.

You can print your certificate immediately and will receive an additional copy via email
